Coincidentally, I was just discussing digital inking with a friend and how we found inking with Illustrator felt odd, yet the results are clearly superior to inking in Photoshop. I think I just need to get a lot more comfortable working with vectors and get more practice with the tool. Thanks again for the inspiration!
I don't think it looks consistent, but that's not bad. I can clearly see from these drawing what is working and what isn't. I think that the more lines you try to add, the less successful the drawing is. For example, I think that Wolverine in the top right isn't nearly as cool as Hellboy or Daredevil. Some of these have a really nice "Jack Kirby meets Frank Miller" look that you should go with.
right on man. I agree with that. I'm still getting a handle on the tools and how squirley they can be (even in digital environment) but you can definitely see where I am more comfortable with certain character over others.
